Lost Property
We have several lost property items that have been displayed in the main foyer this term. Please can you ensure that uniform, coats, PE kit and equipment are fully labelled with your child's name. We will always aim to return any lost property to its owner. After one half term, if the items are not claimed we will be disposing of them. It has been decided the best way is to offer the items to those who could use them. It is our intention to have a uniform rail at future parents evenings, where parents can make a donation to a good cause in exchange for uniform, kit and equipment that has come from unclaimed lost property.

Recycle uniform
If you have any old uniform, kit, equipment or coats suitable for school that your child has grown out of and it is still useful for another learner, please do forward it to reception and we will add it to our uniform rail.

Visit of the Portuguese Ambassador to Le Rocquier School

On Friday 21st September Le Rocquier hosted a visit from His Excellency, Mr Manuel Lobo Antunes, Ambassador to the Court of St James. During the visit His Excellency met with students both in the classroom and in our library resource centre to discuss the experiences our students receive in Jersey both educationally and socially.

The delegation also included Senator Tracey Vallois, Minister for Education and Sean O’Regan, Group Director, Education, Children, Young People, Education & Skills.

Commenting from the External Relations Department, Laura Harris stated:

‘Overall, we felt that this was a very productive and valuable visit which served to further strengthen and deepen our bilateral relations with Portugal, and I know that for the delegation the school visit was a particular highlight. It was very positive to see so many of the students on Friday afternoon and everything ran very smoothly, so thank you again to Andy and team for welcoming us to Le Rocquier.’
