english smThe English department is comprised of a team of ten experienced and well qualified subject specialists, many of whom are well established at Le Rocquier School.
We are an enthusiastic, collaborative and motivated team who have a passion for teaching and seeing our students achieve their potential. All members of staff teach across the age and ability range and are committed to offering our students an engaging and enriching curriculum both inside and outside the classroom.  We regularly have visiting authors in school and students have the opportunity to go on trips to the cinema and other relevant places of interest.  We run a number of successful clubs and regularly participate in a variety of other activities including BBC School Report, Literacy Leaders and Jersey’s poetry slam competition.

At Key Stage 3 Students are assessed on a half termly basis using National Curriculum levels.
